金曜日はヨガの後はゆっくり家で過ごそうと計画していたのになぜか激しくパーティーしてしまいました・・・

Started out the night with Facetasm/Phenomenon double headline runway show at Tokyo Midtown!

東京ミッドタウンで行われたFacetasm/Phenomenonのダブルヘッドライナーランウェイショーからファビュラスな夜が始まりました！

Both shows were absolutely amazing and extremely inspiring. I was so drawn to Phenomenon’s street meets mode style over Facetasm though. Check out the runway photos from Fashion Snap here.

ショーは鳥肌が立つ程の感激ぶり。僕はどちらかというとPhenomenonのストリートとモードがうまくブレンドされた感じがもっと好みだった。コレクションの写真はこちらのFashion Snapで是非チェックしてみて。

On the way to the Chanel party! We decided to call ourselves as “three little children” for the night since we felt like such babies at JFW events.

シャネルパーティーへ向かう途中で。ファッションウィーク初心者のうちらはスリーリトルチルドレンというトリオを一夜のみ結成することにしました。

Chanel and Japan party was held at this warehouse in the Shibaura area and packed with all the Tokyo fashion people and big name celebrities like Vanessa Paradis, Gaspard Ulliel, Alice Dellal, Karlie Kloss, etc. It was definitely the most extravagant party I had attended in a while. The venue was gorgeous, everyone was dancing and having fun and Azealia Banks’s performance was off the hook!

Chanel and Japanパーティーは芝浦の方にある倉庫みたいな場所がクラブ化してました。世界的にも有名なセレブリティーやスーパーモデルが勢揃い。バネッサ・パラディ、ギャスパー・ウリエル、アリス・デラル、カーリー・クロス等。久しぶりにとってもド派手なパーティーでした。ヴェニューは豪華、しかもみんな楽しく踊ってて、さらにはAzealia Banks のライブパフォーマンスが最高！

I was a bit nervous to attend such a high profile party, but I reached out for a few glasses of champagne to relax and mingle with the party goers. I felt like I was a socialite for a while, but later on I found myself hopping on the train and realized that I was still just a peasant. It was dreamy while it lasted though.

先週の金曜日はルイ・ヴィトン六本木ヒルズ店メンズフロアーのリニューアルパーティーに招待されて遊びに行ってきました。なんと新スタイルディレクターのキム・ジョーンズ氏も来日していたんです。もちろん僕はハイエンドのブランド物とは基本的に無縁なのですがお店にある物全て気にってしまいました。普段はじっくりと物色する機会のないハイエンドなクリエイションを楽しんできました。ジョーンズ氏の新生LVのメンズアイテムは若さと遊び心がうまい具合に、ブランドのスタイルとラグジュリアスな雰囲気を壊す事無く取り入れられていてすっかり魅了されてしまった。欲しい！

正直言ってこのようなパーティーに一人で参加するのはちょっと緊張していたのですがシャンパンを飲んだ後はすっかりリラックスして皆様とソーシャライズできました。お酒のせいか？まるで自分もハイソサエティーの一員になった気分に。しかし、帰りに電車に乗る頃にはすっかり酔いが覚めて自分はやっぱりただの庶民であることに気づきました。笑。でもつかの間の夢気分を楽しめたから良かったのだ。

I thought these models looked a little bit uncomfortable at the party, but it also reminded me that the local models are gaining more popularity over foreign models in the Tokyo fashion scene these days.

個人的にはこちらのモデル君達はちょっと居心地悪そうにしてるなと思ったのですが、改めて最近の東京ファッションシーンは日本人のメンズモデルがハーフや外国人モデル達より主流になってきてるのかな？と思いました。

NYの有名なDJ Honey Dijonがアフターパーティーでスピンしてました。彼女の音にかなりはまってしまって踊りたくて仕方なかったんです。でもさ、東京のファッションパーティーって暗黙の了解？で誰も踊らないんだよね。なぜだろ？

As I mentioned before, I’m far from being qualified as a music snob and I love listening to trashy tunes. However, that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy good indie gems every once in a while. My recent find is Mara Hruby, new and rising star of Oakland, California. I actually met her in person at a house party last December when I visited friends in Oaktown. I didn’t know about her singing career until my friend told me about it later. I googled her out of curiosity and totally fell in love with her beautiful voice.

It’s rare to get a chance to listen to this kind of good music through main stream media outlets these days, either in the states or Japan, since everything is electro and auto-tuned, which is fine when you just want to shake your booty on the dance floor. But sometimes when you are in a big city chasing after dreams, money or both, the last thing you need is a loud and obnoxious music. it’s important to balance it out with something more chill, and music like Mara’s does the job. I hope someone will bring her to Japan so I can see her live!!!!

前に何度も公言しておりますが、僕は音楽馬鹿からほど遠いくらい疎いんです。いつも聞いてるのはメインストリームのゴミ音楽ばかり。でも、たまにはインディーのいい曲も聞いちゃうんです。最近はまっているのがMara Hruby (マーラ・ルビー)というカリフォルニアはオークランドのライジングスターです。実は彼女には去年の１２月にカリフォルニアのベイエリアに遊びに行ったときに友達のハウスパーティーで会ったんです。でもその時は彼女がシンガーだって事は全く知らなくて後から友達に教えてもらって日本に帰ってからググってみたの。そしたら、バーン！彼女の美しい歌声にすっかり魅了されてしまったのだ。

最近は日本でもアメリカでもこういうスローでメロディーが奇麗な音楽をメジャーなメディアを通して聞くことって凄く珍しいよね、なんでもオートチューンされたエレクトロ系がやっぱ主流だから。そういう音楽も酔っぱらってクラブで踊りたいときとかにはピッタリなんだけどね。でも東京みたいな大都会で夢をおっかけてたり、お金を追っかけてたりするとやっぱバランスが必要になってくるじゃない？そういうときにマーラの音楽みたいなのがいいんだよ。彼女、日本でライブやってほしいな。

火曜の夜は友達のXUXU に誘われてダンスロックバンドのthe Raptureの来日公演が開催された Liquidroomへ遊びに行ってきました。本当は僕彼らの曲は一曲しか知らなかったんだけどライブは楽しいから行ってみよう、てなノリで参加しました。インディーズロックって結構苦手なジャンルだったんだよね学生時代は。アメリカの田舎学生のお友達はヒップスター候補生ばかりだったのでみんな揃ってインディーズとかサブカル的なものが大好きだったの。でも自分だけあえてひたすらトップ４０系の曲とハリウッドゴシップにばかり夢中になっていたんだよね。ま、そんな話はどうでもいいとして最近はインディーズとメジャーの境目ってかなりなくなってきてるし大人になってもっと色々な音楽を聞くようになってきた。それにさ、インディーズなロックのコンサートに行くって響きがおしゃれでしょ？本当は未だにゴミみたいなポップミュージック聞きまくってるんだけどそんな事は誰も知らなくていいんだよね。でしょ？笑

I quickly fell in love with the band after seeing their breathtaking show! Such a great stage presence!

先週の金曜日は渋谷１０９にニューオープンしたFig & Viper というブランドのお店に立ち寄ってきました。実はこのブランドは僕の友達で日本の若い女の子の中では人気の植野有砂ちゃんがプロドゥースしてるんです。いつもギャルというと彼女は否定するのですが見ればわかる通り激しいネイル、カラフルな服装、ちょい濃いめ？のメイク、そんでもってカラコンという明らかにギャル丸出しのありさ。でも悪くないの、おしゃれさんだから。JJにオシャPて書いてあったしね。ま、とりあえずみんなも渋谷にいたらFig & Viper で東京ガールパワー炸裂なちょっとファンキーでエッジの効いたリアルクローズとアクセをチェックしてみて！

３月１０日に国内の限定店舗にてデビューするMarniとH&Mのコラボはブランドにも買い物好きにも嬉しいシチュエーションです。去年のヴェルサーチとのコラボも大好きだったのですがあのクレイジーなカラーとパターンはちょっと僕のデイリーのワードローブにミックスするには難しかったというのが正直なところでした。毎回きるたびに”僕、がんばってます。ファッショニスタです！”感がでちゃってちょっと恥ずかしかった。笑。

マルニのコレクションはそのような心配はご無用。ブランドの遊び心あふれた柄、色、そしてシークなシルエットを楽しみながらもデイリーユースに簡単にとりいれられるから日本でのヒットは間違いないと思います！

The event was fun and filled with all the cutesy girl energy but something was missing. It just didn’t feel the same with Trip’s Angels’ brain and Tokyo’s original party girl Mai. We all miss her!!!!

とっても楽しいイベントでした。いつも通りキューとなガールパワーであふれてたけどなんか物足りなかったかな、やはりトリップズエンジェルズのブレーンで東京のオリジナルパーティーガール、マイちゃんがいないとなんか寂しい気がしました。

Liv and I were craving something healthy, so we went to Crayon House in Aoyama for the all- yo- can-eat lunch buffet (1,260 yen)! The restaurant is kids-friendly, which means that it’s flooded with moms and crying babies. Not a great place to gossip about your scandalous sexcapades…

この間リブと久しぶりに青山のクレヨンハウスのヘルシーなランチ食べ放題（1,260円）へ行ってきました。レストランはキッズフレンドリー、という事はそこはままさんと泣きじゃくる赤ん坊で賑わっております。乳母車の大渋滞です。ちょとえげつないゴシップで盛り上がりたいときにはお勧めできません。笑。

Again, I went to bills, this time in Shichirigahama for the famous ricotta pancakes. Everything is overpriced and service is shit, but it’s a comfortable spot on weekdays to watch the sunset. Perhaps my English friends are right…I guess we can’t expect much from Down Under ??? Jk…

今度は七里ケ浜ですが懲りずにビルズへ有名なリコッタパンケーキを食べに出かけました。相変わらず全て割高でサービスが悪い。でも居心地はよくて平日の夕日見学には良いスポットです。ま、イギリス人の友達が言うようにオーストラリア生まれの物はこの程度のレベルでしょうか？笑。　冗談。
